Mr. Nkosana Mbokane
Nkosana A. Mbokane is CEO of TechnoChange Solutions, a black owned company that advises some of the Fortune 500 companies on corporate governance, policy development, ICT strategic planning and enterprise risk management. He has strong experience in business risk management, corporate governance, and Cybersecurity and has served in different boards as chairperson of, including Audit, Risk and Remuneration Subcommittee, ICT Subcommittee, Transformation Subcommittee, Social and Ethics Subcommittee, and Corporate Governance Subcommittee.
He has strong experience and knowledge in policy development, corporate governance, business risk management having developed various board policy documents including but not limited to board code of conducts, risk management charters, strategic planning and implementation policies for various companies in government and public sector both in South African and internationally as a consultant and to some as a board member. He has further established himself as a specialist and highly experienced in the development of transformation policies for various companies, including developing and helping, those companies to establish board Transformation subcommittee and including developing transformation plans and transformation subcommittee charter / terms of reference.
Mbokane previously worked in various executive positions for global as well as local South African companies specializing in ICT Strategic planning and implementation, Business Risk Management, Corporate Governance, Privacy and confidentiality policies and Policy Development in general. The companies he worked for includes: Chevron Oil (formerly Caltex and now Astron in South Africa), British American Tobacco, Accenture South Africa, State Information Technology Agency, and the Perishable Products Export Control Board. He is an accomplished public speaker on corporate governance, Cybersecurity, ICT, strategic planning and implementation and business risk management, with over 25 years’ working experience within the energy, oil and gas, agriculture, FMCG, ICT industry, and financial services industry.
He gained international working experience working as a policy development expert, corporate governance adviser, strategic planning and organizational performance consultant and policy and regulatory compliance expert in various countries, including the UK, USA, Singapore, Philippines, and most of the African countries. Mbokane holds an MBA degree with a distinction in corporate strategy, and various other certificates in PFMA & MFMA Acts implementation, ICT project management, policy development and strategic planning, and organizational performance. He is a highly skilled and knowledgeable in ICT, Corporate Governance, Business Risk management, policy development and regulatory compliance. He has assisted many companies in the public and private sector as a business adviser and consultant to enhance corporate governance, policy development and board member code of conduct and risk management. He is also the Chairman and Executive Director of the Mbokane Farm, a family farm he founded, the Mbokane Farm is currently South Africa’s leading culinary herbs producer.
