Ms. Kabelo Shabalala

Kabelo has 20 years’ experience in financial management, accounting, taxation and auditing. She completed her Baccalaureus Commercii Honors Degree in Accounting with the University of Natala and a Higher Diploma in Tax Law with the University of Johannesburg. After completing her articles with Deloitte in 2005, she joined its corporate tax division as a Corporate Tax Consultant and later its Special Services division, which focused on financial management consultancy.

Since 2009 she has specialised in vast areas of Taxation and has held positions as Corporate Tax Specialist, Group Corporate Tax Manager and Head of Tax in companies in aviation, mining, pharmaceutical and life sciences. She is currently a Tax Executive at a Global logistics company.

Kabelo has previously been involved with young girls at Mamelodi High School where she motivated them and held an annual event to recognize their good performance. She also habitually visits the Tshwane Place of Safety orphanage in Pretoria which addresses the growing need for the dedicated care of babies and toddlers in distress. Kabelo is currently the Chairperson of a property stokvel which was created by women for women. Its vision is to empower women to become property developers.

Kabelo has a passion to eradicate poverty through empowering others. She believes that through intentional collaboration we can achieve this and more.
